Nasir Al-din Sikandar Shah Coin sold for INR 1, 90,000

Nasir Al-din Sikandar Shah (932; AD 1525) of Gujarat Sultanate was the eldest son of Shams Al-din Muzaffar II. He ascended to the throne after the death of his father. Nasir al din Sikandar Shah ruled for a very short period of time still few gold and silver coins are known.One such Double Tanka was sold for INR 1, 90,000 at Classical Numismatic Gallery Auction held on 10th April 2016. The coins read as “Al-wathiq billah al-mannan nasir al-dunya wa al-din abul fath” on obverse and “ Sikandar shah bin muzaffar shah al sultan” on the reverse with the date 932. Both the legends are written within a scalloped circle on both the sides. This coin is Extremely rare with a very fine condition.
