Maldives Rufiyaa!

Did you know that the currency of Maldives is called as “Rufiyaa”?The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has issued a new high-value note printed on polymer substrate.
The new 5,000 Rufiyaa designed by local designer Abdullah Nashaath and was printed by De La Rue, in association with the MMA.
This commemorative note is issued to mark the 50th Anniversary of independence of Maldives. It depicts 50 years of development and the peaceful approach taken by the country in obtaining independence.
