The 50th Anniversary of the Canadian Flag was commemorated with a very special stamp issued by Canada Post.

In Feb 2015 Canada celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Canadian Flag and to mark the occasion Canada Post has come up with an unusual stamp. This high value stamp of $5 is printed on a specialized satin rayon fabric and not on a paper.

The stamp bears a simple design of large Canadian flag with the dates 1965 – 2015 in the lower left corner. The use of cloth for a Canadian stamp is unique, with almost all Canadian stamps having been printed on paper.

This stamp is a symbol of every Canadian’s patriotism!
