Ordering Limit Eased for 2016 Standing Liberty Gold Quarter

From today onwards, the ordering limit for the 2016-W Standing Liberty Centennial Gold Coin will be taken off officially.Until now, the mintage limit of these .9999 fine 24-karat gold quarters was 100,000 and the ordering limit was 1-coin for each household. From today, the mintage limit would remain the same but collectors could buy as many coins as they wish.
The sale was a grand success as soon as the windows for online ordering opened, so much that the site had crashed for half an hour.
On the first day, 47,884 coins were ordered. 5,494 more were sold by 11th September. The figures reached 54,876 on 18th September.
