They say that time is money, but that’s also the case vice versa now. Why? Because the 2015 2oz Silver coin celebrating the 150th anniversary of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland from the Perth Mint is embedded with a ticking clock. Yes, you’ve read it right, a working clock! The 99.9% Pure Silver, 62.27 grams coin is produced with an Antiqued Finish and is a Legal Tender for the Government of Tuvalu. The coins are specially packaged with a Numbered Certificate and have a mintage limit of 2,500.
The reverse features Alice, the Cheshire cat, playing cards, the White Rabbit on the face of a clock. An inscription reads ‘Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late!’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. Another quote from the book which reads “Oh my ears and whiskers, how late it’s getting!” is also included.
The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, 2 Dollars, and 2015.
