Sale of 2017 Cougar Privy Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Reverse Proof Coin Begins

The third coin of the popular six-coin Wild Canada Series, honouring the Canadian Maple Leaf Coin and Canadian Wildlife Series, is the 2017 Cougar Privy Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Reverse Proof Coin which is available at JM Bullion.The 6 coins would be released over a time span of three years and each of these 99.99% pure silver coins would have a mintage limit of 50,000.
The reverse features the sugar maple leaf design with a privy mark of an animal from the Canadian Wildlife Series. The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
The earlier coins that were released were the 2016 Wolf Privy Silver Maple Leaf and the 2016 Grizzly Privy Silver Maple Leaf.
Just like the first two coins in the series which featured the respective animal’s privy marks, this one featured a highly detailed privy mark of a growling cougar. The fourth, fifth, and sixth Wild Canada Series coins will have privy marks of a moose, an antelope, and a wood bison respectively. The coins have a have a mirror-like device with a frosted field.
Both the 2016 Wolf Privy Silver Maple Leaf Coin and the 2016 Grizzly Privy Coins were sold within 6 weeks.
