Coin Exchange Mela Organised at Ranchi

A coin exchange mela was organised by ICICI Bank Ltd in association with the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce & Industries at the FJCCI premises. The event was monitored by the Reserve Bank of India.Such kind of melas are held at regular intervals all over the country by the bank which allows the common public to exchange soiled and mutilated currency notes with fresh currency for free. These events get a very good response each time and people from different backgrounds participate in it.
More than 110 people exchanged coins worth Rs. 20 lakh in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs. 5, Rs. 2 and Re. 1 along with fresh / issuable notes worth Rs. 55 lakh in denominations Rs.1000, Rs. 500, Rs.50, Rs. 20 and Rs. 10.
