Octagonal gold of Malwa sold for a Whopping price!

Ghiyath Shah of Malwa Sultanate had issued an octagonal 2/3 Nazarana tanka gold coin which was sold at hammer price of INR 18,00,000 at Todywalla Auction held in Feb 2016!This coin which weighs around 7.37 grams is made of pure gold. The obverse of the coin has the inscription "Alwashaq Al Malij Abu Al Fath Ghiyas Shah" which bears the name of the Sultan Ghiyath Shah. While the reverse of the coin is inscribed with "Bin Muhammd shah , Al Sultan Al Khalji Khald Malkahu". The date AH 882 can be seen on the bottom left corner of the right side.
Ghiyath Shah was appointed as an heir apparent with many responsibilities; he was also given a right to strike coins in his own name. Maybe at this time this beautiful octagonal coin was stuck.
