The Sale of 2016 Australian Kangaroo Four-Coin Silver Proof Set has begun with a pricing of $199.09 AUD ($152.90 USD) and a product limit of 3,000 sets.

The four 99.99% Silver Kangaroo pieces weigh one-ounce, 1/2-ounce, 1/4-ounce, and 1/10-ounce. The 1/4-ounce piece being the debut Silver Proof Kangaroo of that size ever produced.

The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with inscriptions ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, and 50 CENTS.

The reverse features the popular Kangaroo motif with the sunburst pattern emerging from behind. Other inscriptions include AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, 2016, 9999 SILVER, the weight, and the Perth Mint’s “P” mint mark.

The first 250 orders would also include a gold-plated silver kangaroo pin with opal.

The coins would be encased with special packaging along with numbered certificate of authenticity.
