Polar Bear on Latest Coloured Canadian Coin

The final coin of the six-coin “Big Coin” series by the Royal Canadian Mint was recently issued. The coin features a coloured version o the Polar Bear design that appeared on the toonie which debuted in 1996 to replace the 2 Dollar banknote. 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of the toonie.Ever since it was introduced with an opening mintage limit of over 375 million, it was widely accepted all over. Since the 1 dollar coin was termed loonie, this one got nicknamed as 'toonie'.
The coin’s reverse includes the original design in colour with blue water and bright white ice. The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth.
The mintage limit of this two dollar .999 Silver 157.6 Grams Proof & Coloured coin is 600 pieces. The coins are available as a six-coin series with special packaging.
