As per an official announcement by the U.S. Mint, the most awaited 2016-W Standing Liberty Centennial gold quarter dollars can be now purchased for $485 each. The pricing follows the U.S. Mint's established pricing grid.

The sale of the coin would begin on 8th September and the mintage is limited to 100,000 coins. There would also be an ordering limit of one-coin-per-household.

The new quarter-ounce .9999 fine gold coin is a version of the .900 fine Standing Liberty quarter dollar which was originally struck in 1916.

The Bare Breast subtype was introduced 100 years ago. Two versions were created in 1917, one being a modified version of the 1916 design and the second with chain mail added to cover Liberty’s exposed right breast and a repositioning of the eagle on the reverse.
