Gold Coins Presented to GIDC Employees on the Debt Ridden Organization’s 50th Anniversary
2016-09-02 Fri
The 50th anniversary of Goa Industrial Development Corporation was celebrated in a special way and each employee received a gold coin marking this important feat. Each coin weighed weighing 2 to 2.5g each and is valued at 29,380 per 10g. The controversy has been that the organization has not been able to pay salaries to its employees due to mismanaged finances. They have also been blamed for non-recovery of costs, non-utilization of plots and lack of systematic planning resulting in losses worth crores. On 4th July, the board had also decided to ask grants from the State to pay salaries due to the shortage of funds.Latest News
