The popularity of American Liberty Silver Medals has been so high that they were all sold out within six minutes. Everybody was impressed by the modern portrayal of Lady Liberty. 25,000 Proof (S – San Francisco) medals and 25,000 uncirculated (W – West Point) versions were released and ordering was restricted to two coins of each version per household.

The medal bears similar features of the 2015 $100 American Liberty 1 oz Gold Coin, but the new medal is not a legal tender. The medals don’t feature the high relief like the earlier coins but they look more artistic due to the slight changes in the positions of the inscriptions.

The medal depicts a more modern depiction of the traditional symbol of America and liberty, Lady Liberty. The reverse features a flying bald eagle in detail carrying olive branches.
