The 25th anniversary of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and 125th Anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru is being celebrated by the Indian Government Mint at Mumbai with the release of commemorative coin sets in Proof and Uncirculated varieties.The Vaishno Devi coin depicts Goddess Durga on the reverse shown sitting on an animal carrying symbols trident, discus, Scimitar, lasso, Conch shell, Mace, Bow and arrow, spear and sword. The obverse depicts the Lion Capital along with the name of the country and year of issue.
The Vaishno Devi Proof coin is priced at Rs. 4518/- and the UNC coin can be ordered for Rs. 3630/-. The Jawaharlal Nehru Proof coin costs Rs. 3730/- and its UNC variant costs Rs. 3082/-. The payment for offline bookings is to be made through a Demand Draft. The coins will be delivered through India Post within six months from the date of closure of booking.
