Details about the 2016-W Standing Liberty Centennial 24k gold quarter along with new images have been revealed officially. The coin, set for its release on 8th September, celebrates the 100th anniversary of the silver Standing Liberty quarter which features the original bare-breasted obverse and the eagle reverse.

Obverses depict Liberty holding a shield and an olive branch with 13 stars in the background. Other inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, AU 24K, 1/4 oz., 2016, W for the West Point Mint and M for sculptor MacNeil’s initial. The coin is minted with a business strike and its weight is equal to one-quarter ounce. An eagle, 13 stars and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and QUARTER DOLLAR are featured on the reverse.

The pricing will be announced one day before its release. The mintage is limited to 100,000 and a maximum of 1 coin can be ordered per household.

The coin would be encapsulated in a custom-designed, black-matte hardwood presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity.
