Rare Finnish Postal Stationery Brings US$25,000

Finland offers a great Philatelic Rarity at Cherrystone auction. A rare unused rose envelop of Finnish Post was auctioned for US$25,000.An 1845 20k rose envelope was presented at Cherrystone Auctions held on 9th August. This envelop is of utmost value as it was issued while the country was under the control of the Russian empire and known as the Grand Duchy of Finland. Very few are known in complete and unused condition.
The auctioned example was an unused envelop with excellent condition with coat of arms at the bottom left reads ‘Porto Stempo’ ? German for ‘Postage Stamp’. This fine valuable rarity is worth US$25,000
