India Post commemorates the major International Multi Sport event. The prestigious event of Olympic Games is featured on brand new of Stamps by Department of Posts of India.

Issued on 5th August the stamps come with two different denominations of Rs. 5.00 and Rs. 25.00. The stamps are a stylized portrayal of sportsmen engaged in different sports.

The stamps with lower denominations of Rs. 5.00 feature players playing Badminton and Boxing. Shown on the bright and vibrant background of red and yellow, the stamps carry images of players with a silhouette as well as a Logo of Rio Olympic.

On the other hand, stamps with the higher denomination of Rs. 25.00 shows wrestling and shooting on the soothing background of green and blue respectively. Similarly, these two stamps also carry images of players with a silhouette as well as a Logo of Rio Olympic.
