The 2016 American Liberty Silver Medals will be sold at $34.95 each which is comparatively cheaper than the other coins that are up for sale. Two Liberty medals will be issued this year, made of ounce of 99.9% pure silver, struck to proof finish, one from San Francisco Mint and one from West Point Mint, featuring the 2015 $100 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin design. The medals will be released on 23rd August and will be made of silver blanks that were used in striking American Silver Eagles. The last 1 ounce, 99.9% proof silver medals were released in 2011 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
