The next coin in the #TipuSultan and His Coinage series is the quarter-paisa, also known as the Akhtar, the second-lowest denomination in the series, weighing 2.6–2.9 grams. Tipu Sultan minted the quarter-paisa (Akhtar) at multiple locations, including #Nagar, #Bengaluru, Pattan, Kalikut, Faiz Hisar, Farrukh-Yab-Hisar, Farrukhi, Salamabad, Khaliqabad, Zafarabad, and Nazarbar. The obverse features an elephant facing either left or right, with the Mahmudi date typically inscribed above the elephant or near its tail.
