Bipinchandra Ramchandra Pal, an influential revolutionary and journalist known for his oratory skills, was born on 7th November 1858, in Silhat (now in Bangladesh).He was among the trio recognized as "Lal-Bal-Pal" during the freedom struggle.
Known for starting a newspaper called "Swaraj" for the Indians in England, he also edited several other newspapers like Tribune, New India, Vande Mataram, Hindu Review, Democrat, and Independent Bengali.
India Post issued a postage stamp in 1958 to commemorate the 100th Birth Anniversary of Bipin Chandra Pal.
