An American stamp travelled almost 3 billion miles in space is now a world record holding stamp. A 29 cent US stamp of 1991 has now entered the Guinness Book of World Record as a stamp that travelled the farthest distance and went to Pluto.

In 1991 USA issued stamp with a tagline Pluto – "Not yet explored". This stamp was affixed on NASA's New Horizons robotic probe which set out on a new mission of exploring the mysterious planet.

This encounter will make a space history as well as postal history as this is the first stamp which will travel to another planet. This stamp is from the "Space Exploration" set and depicts each planet and a NASA robotic spacecraft that had been sent to study it.

They should probably think about changing the tagline from “Pluto – Not yet explored” to “Pluto – “Just explored”
