Bahamani Sultan Ala Al-Din Humayun Shah’s Silver Tanka

Ala Al-Din Humayun Shah ruled the Bahamani Sultanate from 1458 CE to 1461 CE (AH 862-866). He issued coins in a similar pattern to his predecessors. The gold and copper coins he issued are rare, and his copper coins are scarce.Ala Al-Din Humayun Shah issued this silver tanka from the Hadrat Muhammadabad Mint, weighing 10.75g.
The obverse depicts the legend 'Ala Al-Dunya Wa'l Din Humayun Shah Bin Ahmad Shah Bin Ahmad Shah Al-Wali Al-Bahman'. The reverse depicts the legend ‘Al-Mutawakkil Ala ilah Al-Qawl Al-Ghani Abul Mughazi'.
