The 2016 Sydney New Year’s Eve $1 Coloured Silver Frosted Uncirculated Coin can be purchased for $54.55 AUD and its mintage is limited to 5,000 pieces. The half ounce 99.9% pure silver coin is minted with frosted Uncirculated finish.

People come down in huge numbers at the Sydney Harbour to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks. The reverse design depicts the opera house in silver with the colourful fireworks in the sky and its reflection in the water. Other inscription on the reverse includes ‘SYDNEY NEW YEAR’S EVE’ The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with the inscriptions ‘ELIZABETH II’, ‘AUSTRALIA’, ‘2016’, and ‘1 DOLLAR’.
