In just 48 hours, a 1kg of 99.99% pure gold coin with a 0.54 carat red diamond from Rio Tinto’s Argyle mine in Western Australia embedded in it was sold! Known as the Kimberley Treasure, this coin is legal tender in Australia and features Queen Elizabeth’s portrait on the obverse and a red kangaroo holding the gemstone on the reverse.

Tiara Gems and Jewellery DMCC chairman Ashish Vijay Jain purchased the coin and has plans to showcase it in Dubai. There were many other investors and businessmen who were interested in buying this special coin. .

This unique coin will be on display in The Perth Mint Shop, 310 Hay Street, East Perth till 14th August.
