The United Kingdom issued a 50 pound 999 silver coin last year featuring the latest portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on one side and a standing Britannia depiction on the other side, both of which are designed by Royal mint engraver Jody Clark. The mintage of this coin is limited to 1,00,000.The standing Britannia portrait looks strong and elegant with the British lion at her side. Other inscriptions on the reverse include the denomination and the year of issue. This would be an annual issue just like the 20-pound and 100-pound coins.
