Rafi ud-Darjat was the youngest son of Rafi-ush-Shan and the nephew of Azimush Shan. He sat on the throne of the Mughal Empire after the death of Farrukhsiyar in 1719 CE. Rafi-udDarjat was an intelligent person controlled by Sayyid Brothers, who carried out administration in his name.
Rafi ud-Darjat was succeeded by his brother Rafi-ud-Daula, popularly known as Shah Jahan II.
This silver rupee was issued by Rafi-ud-Darjat, in AH 1131 from the mint Sarhind. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as a 'Ba-HazaraanBarkaat' couplet with the title of Rafi ud-Darjat. The reverse side of this coin is inscribed with the Mint name, Jalusmaimanatmanus and flower mintmark. This silver rupee is listed for INR 60,000 in the upcoming online auction of Classical Numismatic Gallery that will be held on August 06, 2022.
