Special Commemorative Coin to Honour Edhi

On 8th July, a famous Pakistani humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi expired in Karachi. The State Bank of Pakistan would be issuing a special commemorative coin to honour him. The details about of the coin would be revealed at a press conference later this week.Abdul Sattar Edhi was a noted social activist for all his welfare and charitable organisations which he managed alone with the help of private donations.
He died due to kidney complications and thousands of people, including important politicians came down to pay their tribute. He was also given a special guard of honour and a 19-gun salute by the Pakistan Army.
