The stamp consists of the ICMR’s logo & a picture of a woman getting jabbed by a healthcare worker. The stamp has been launched to laud the efforts of the Indian scientists for the development of India’s indigenous COVID-19 vaccine.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya while launching a postage stamp on the indigenously developed vaccine Covaxin to mark one year of the inoculation drive said 70 percent of India’s adults have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 while 93 percent received the first jab. The drive was rolled out on January 16 last year with healthcare workers getting inoculated in the first phase.

Vaccinations are known to boost your immune system by teaching your body how to fight threats. Therefore many consider vaccinations as a way to build up your immune system and the manner in which your body reacts to foreign bodies.
