Telegram, also known as Telegraph; since 1850, the telegraph service was a backbone of telecommunication service, and it’s popularly known as 'Taar'. The telegram service had served India for more than 160 years.The Telegram service had both anticipated and feared, providing both good and bad; but urgent news to Indians. It used to provide all types of news, whether it's birth, death, wedding, job, unemployment, war, or accident. The British government inverted the telegram, and it proved to be the biggest communication service in India.
Today is an important day; because it was April 27, 1854, when the first telegram was sent from Mumbai to Pune Since 1854.
