Kushan Ruler Vasudeva II Gold Dinar Listed For INR 60,000

King Vasudeva II was the ruler of the Kushan Empire; he sat on the throne of the Kushan Empire after Kahishka III and may have succeeded King Shaka Kushan. He ruled this empire between 275 CE and 300 CE. King Vasudeva II; also ruled the part of Taxila, in western Punjab, under the suzerainty of the Gupta Empire.

The above gold dinar, which weighs around 7.72g, was issued by King Vasudeva II; during his rule in Kushan Empire. The obverse to this coin depicts King standing facing towards left, holding the trident on the right hand, making an offering at an altar to left, Brahmi letter 'Sa' under arms and 'Ga' between feet. The reverse side of this coin depicts Lord Shiva standing, Nandi Bull behind Lord Shiva, Shiva holding a trident in the right hand and noose in the left hand, Tamgha in the upper left field with the label 'Ohpo'.

This gold dinar is listed for INR 60,000 in the upcoming electronic auction Todywalla, which will be held on March 27, 2022.
