The krona is the official currency of Sweden which is subdivided into 100 ore. The Swedish krona was the ninth-most traded currency in the world by value in April 2016. The Sveriges Riksbank issued Swedish Krona banknotes in 7 different denominations, including this 100 Swedish Kronor banknote.In 1874, notes were introduced by the Riksbank in denominations of 1 krona and 5, 10, 50, 100 and 1,000 kronor. The krona banknotes are known for featuring a famous celebrity on its obverse.
The blue-colored 100 kronor banknote features Swedish-born American movie star Greta Garbo and celluloid film. On the reverse side of the Ett Hundra Kronor banknote is a city view on the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
