The coin is the rarest regular issue of the 20th century as well as the rarest coin minted at Denver Mint. Designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the coin weighs about 33.4 grams and measures 34 mm in diameter. The coin bears a distinct lettered edge and contains 90% gold and 10% copper.
