2021-01-09 Sat

Philip V of Spain was the second son of Louis, Grand Dauphin and Maria Anna Victoria of Bavaria. He ruled Spain as a king from 1 November 1700 to 14 January 1724 and again from 6 September 1724 to his death in 1746. Philip V was the founder of the Bourbon Dynasty. During his reign, Spain regained much of its former influence in international affairs. Spain began to recover from the long decline it had experienced during the 17th century and to regain a voice in the affairs of Europe.

This commemorative stamp was issued by Spain with the theme of King Philip V during his rule in Spain.
