Base gold Dinar of Indo-Sassanian King Ranaditya Satya

Ranaditya Satya is also known as Rana Datasatya; he was the ruler of Indo-Sassanian. He ruled the part of Sindh, and modern-day Pakistan, in 5th -6th Century CE.

The Coins issued by Ranaditya Satya; is considered as modelled on the coins of Peroz I, particularly from the portrait type. Coins issued by king Ranaditya Satya depict the Bust of the king with the symbol of the sun on the obverse side of the coin. The reverse side of the coin depicts the fire alter.

This gold dinar that weighs around 7.08g was issued by Ranaditya Satya during his rule in Indo-Sassanian. The obverse of this coin depicts a bust of the king facing towards the right wearing a winged head-dress and a shield to right. The reverse of this coin depicts Fire alter, Brahmi legend ‘Ranaditya Satya’.
