Summer Olympic of 1992 held at Barcelona, Spain. From Brazil, 182 competitors took part in 107 events in 23 sports. Out of 182 competitors, 132 were men and 50 women. Brazilian achieved 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal.

The swimmer Gustavo Borges won a silver medal in men’s 100-meter freestyle. The judoka Rogerio Sampaio won the gold medal in men's 65 kg category. The first time ever, Brazil men’s volleyball team won first gold medal. The team won all the eight matches of the tournament.
