The swimmer Gustavo Borges won a silver medal in men’s 100-meter freestyle. The judoka Rogerio Sampaio won the gold medal in men's 65 kg category. The first time ever, Brazil men’s volleyball team won first gold medal. The team won all the eight matches of the tournament.
