Rare 1895-O Morgan $1 MS65+ to Star at the Heritage Long Beach Auction

On June 9th, an 1895-O Silver Dollar MS65+ NGC CAC will steal the limelight in Heritage’s 2016 Long Beach Expo US Coins Signature Auction.Experts state that this coin is the third rarest Morgan dollar which went through excessive melting and long circulation times. Another rare coin, that is up for sale is the 1856-O double eagle struck at New Orleans Mint. The coin is graded AU55 by PCGS to become the third highest graded example. Officials state that only 2,250 pieces were minted, all of which were released for circulation immediately.
A 1921-S half dollar graded MS66 by NGC will also be auctioned at the event. Only 200 1921-S halves exist in Mint State, but none of them are as highly graded as this one. Such a piece has never been auctioned before in more than 10 years.
