Greenland Post issued their 2020 Europa Stamps as the part of the yearly collectively themed issue spanning most of the European postal authorise along with a few non-European. This year the common theme is Ancient Postal Routes. The main Focus of the two Greenlandic stamps is the famous pilot Charles Lindberg- the first pilot for his non-stop flight across Atlantic Ocean in 1927.
The second stamps are designed by Robert Dam and they are based on photographs of the airplane and pilot. One of the stamps depicts a group of people with both the Lindbergh and the famous polar explorer Knud Rasmussen standing in front of the plane. The second stamp depicts Charles Lindberg working on his airplane with a town in the background. The stamps have Greenlandic flag integrated into photo in a way that makes the photo come to life.
