This gold tanka issued by Kashmir Sultan Hasan Shah weighs around 11.18g. This gold tanka; is listed for INR 2,25,000 in an upcoming auction of Oswal Antiques that will be held in Mumbai, on 31st October 2020.

Hasan Shah was the sultan of Kashmir Sultanate; he sat on the throne of Kashmir Sultanate in the year 1472 CE and ruled it till 1484 CE. HE sat on the throne of Kashmir Sultanate after succeeding in his father Haider Shah. After sitting on the throne of Kashmir Sultanate, he issued coins gold, silver, and copper.

The obverse of this gold tanka inscribed as ‘Nigin I Mulk khatam I Sulaiman Hasan shah ibn Haidar shah sultan’. The reverse of this gold tanka is inscribed with shahada with mint and the date in the margin.
