Their art and culture and be seen clearly through their coins, museums, etc.The Portuguese are considered as the first European’s to land on the Indian shores in 1498. They continued to remain in power for almost two centuries. With the rise of East India Company dominion of Indo-Portuguese was confined to the Goa and other regions of the west coast of India.
This 15 Reis minted in Damao was issued by king Pedro V during his rule in Indo-Portuguese.
