The full name of Haidar Dughlat is Mirza Muhammad Haidar Dughlat Beg ruled Kashmir Sultanate from 1546 CE till 1550 CE.Haidar Dughlat was the son of Muhammad Husain Kurkan. Haidar Dughlat did not issue any coin in his name; he issued his coin in the name of Mughal Emperor Humayun in gold and silver. His gold coins do not contain mint name and date, But the Shahada with the name of four Caliphs name is seen on the reverse. Whereas his silver coin contains mint name and date on the reverse.
This square Sasnu which weighs around 6.2g was issued by Haidar Dughlat during his rule in Kashmir Sultanate. He issued this coin in the name of Mughal Emperor Humayun. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name of the title of Mughal Emperor Humayun. The reverse of this coin is inscribed with the mint name Kashmir.
