Jambusar mint of East India Company

The East India Company under Bombay Presidency had issued this silver rupee in the name of Mughal Emperor from the mint Jambusar. Jambusar is a city and a municipality in Bharuch district in the Indian state of Gujarat.The East India Company is also known as s the Honourable East India Company (HEIC), East India Trading Company (EITC), the English East India Company or the British East India Company, and informally known as John Company.
The obverse side of this silver rupee is inscribed with the name and title of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II. The reverse side of this coin is inscribed with the mint name.
