The Bombay Presidency was a former province of British India. Bombay provinces were the administrative subdivision of the British India headquarters in the city of Bombay. Between 1843 and 1936, the Bombay presidency was well known as Bombay and Sind. The Bombay Presidency was created when the city of Bombay was leased in fee tail to the East India Company by a Royal Charter from the King of England.This 2 Pice was issued from Bombay Presidency weighs around 28.63g. The obverse of this coin depicts a large crown and word ‘BOMB’ below the crown. The reverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘AUSFICIO/ REGI SET/ SENATUS/ ANGLIAE’.
