King Sasanka also is known as Shashanka or Sasanka-Deva was the first independent king of a unified polity in the Bengal region. King Sasanka is considering as the founder of Gauda Kingdom. King Sasanka is also considering one of the major figures in the history of Bengal. King Sasanka reigned during 7th Century CE and he also ruled some of the historical places during his rule between 600 CE and 636CE.
