The Huns were the nomadic people who lived in Central Asia and the Caucasus and Eastern Europe between the 4th and 6th centuries AD. They were best known for their stunning military achievements. According to the European tradition, they first lived in the east of Volga River, in an area that was the part of Scythia at that time. Later, they migrated towards the westward of the Iranian people, the Alans.This copper Drachma weighs around 6.7g was issued by king Toramana II during his reign. The obverse of this coin depicts the standing slightly left, sacrificing over altar and holding a trident. The reverse of this coin depicts Ardoksho seated facing, holding diadem and cornucopia with Brahmi legend 'Jaya' in the right field.
