The United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) will issue six special stamps to raise money for the COVID-19 solidarity Response Fund organized by the World health organization (WHO). Each Stamp in the set represents key public health message that helps us fight the disease. The personal hygiene, myth-busting’, ‘physical distance’, ‘spread kindnesses, ‘known the symptoms’ and ‘solidarity’.
According to WHO the outbreak of Covid-19 is the greatest challenge to the public health of our time. The Covid-19 pandemic has demonstrated the interconnected nature of the world. Only by acting in solidarity we can save lives and overcome the devastating socio-economic impacts of the virus.
WHO committee member says ‘We hope that by working in solidarity we can help stop the spread of this global pandemic. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something,. Together we can save lives, protect resources, and care for each other’.
