The 16th edition of the largest national football tournament for the major continental male team is organized by UEFA which is going to organized in 2021. To mark this event San Marino Post issued a special stamp. The stamp illustrates two players engaged in a game action while strip portrays four players who are trying to hit the ball.

The tournament will take place for the first time in an itinerant competition: 12 European cities including Rome will host the matches. The UEFA European football championship was the first European mega-event to take place in post-socialist Europe. It was created in France in 1960, the UEFA EURO had a long history as it will hold its 16th competition next year making its 60th birthday.

This tournament was announced to be commenced from 11th June on 17th March 2020 but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Europe from 11th June 2020 to 11th June 2021.
