In 2013, the Pert Mint issued a silver proof coin embellishing Werewolf the scariest and most feared mythical creature. This coin contains 99.9 per cent pure silver and around 5,000 pieces of this coin were issued. It is also a legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
The reverse design of this coin depicted the colourful figure of a werewolf fiercely prowling in the dense forest with a full moon above it. A classical, medieval banner depicting a silhouette of this creature with denomination 1 dollar and inscription ‘werewolf’ inscribed below it on a scroll.
The obverse of this coin depicts the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the date.
The previous coin in this mythological series is Griffin, Unicorn and Phoenix. The fifth and final release of this series will depict Dragon.
