This silver rupee issued by Raziya Sultan, she was the first women ruler of Delhi Sultanate. It was sold for INR 200000 in an auction conducted by Oswal Antiquities held in Ahmadabad on 8th February 2020.
Raziya Sultan also known as Jalalat Al-Din Radiyya was a Muslim ruler of Delhi Sultanate. She ruled Delhi Sultanate for almost four years; her reign is considered as one of the most systematic forms of government. She was one of the most courageous and able rulers of Delhi Sultanate. During her rule, some of the noble could not adjust to the idea of being ruled by women and eventually waged war against her and killed her.

The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Al-Sultan Al-Azam Shamsa Al-Dunya Wal Din Al-Sultan Al-Mu'Azzam Radiyyat Al-Dunya Wa'L Din’. The reverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Fi Ahd Al-Imam Al-Mustansir Amir Al-MuMinin’.
