Starting from 1st April 2020 David Feldman is going to organized a three days auction till 3rd April 2020 offering in it the philatelic beauties of the British Empire. One the first day of the event the earliest impression of 1848 Mauritius 1d orange block of six will be offered. According to the resources, this is the largest known impression of the entire Post-paid issue. Hence, this block is offered for the phenomenal price of 102,500 to 128,100 US dollars.

This stamp in this block illustrates postmarked with the blue numeral 1 of Mahebourg and the block consists of the impression with part of red London dates applied in transit. Its rich bright shades clearly show amongst other characteristics. On the reverse of the block, one can see the outline flap of the original envelope.
