The 5 Star Generals was established in the year 1881; The Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) had played a decisive role in the education and training of officers in times of war and peace. They teach students the skills which are required for battle management, leadership development, and the most modern and effective command and staff action procedures.The surcharges from the sale of this coin used to fund a variety of organization and were also used to fund projects that benefit the public.
The obverse of this coin depicts the bust of Generals George C. Marshall and Dwight D. Eisenhower against a striped background with the 5-star insignia above their heads. The reverse of this coin depicts Leavenworth Lamp with the heraldic crest of Fort Leavenworth on its side.
